The Rotary Club of Minden sponsored two exceptional high school students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp which was held at Maranatha Camp this past July.

Our club meets the 2nd & 4th Thursdays from noon-1:00 at the beautiful Minden Opera House (Nied-Winther Room).

The Rotary Club of Minden sponsored two exceptional high school students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp which was held at Maranatha Camp this past July.

The Rotary Club of Minden will serve as the International Club Sponsor, partnering with the Rotary Club of Totoras, Argentina, to establish an ophthalmology clinic in Totoras, Argentina.

The Rotary Club of Minden will host their “End Polio with a Purple Pinky” table at the Minden/Cozad football game on October 20, 2023 in recognition of upcoming World Polio Day (October 24th).
The Rotary Club of Minden inducted Cody Krull, Michael Krings and Bennett Johnson on August 27, 2023. Dena Beck will formally join the club on October 26, 2023.
“We are very proud to welcome these new members,” said club president, Marse McCann-Carpenter. “Our club activities were inhibited during the COVID pandemic, but we are enthusiastically looking forward to serving our community in the coming months and years.”
Rotary is a global network with over 1.2 million members in more than 35,000 clubs who unite across the globe to create lasting change. Areas of focus include promoting peace, fighting disease such as polio across the world, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, supporting education and helping to grow local economies. Rotary is a true testament about how ordinary citizens can positively and substantially impact the world in which we live and continues to be an organization in which lifelong friendships are made.
The Rotary Club of Minden was established in 1926. Community service projects include providing hardbound dictionaries to area third graders, sponsoring students in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp, collecting food for the Minden Food Pantry, providing scholarships to Minden seniors, helping with food production in developing countries, and sponsoring incoming and outgoing exchange students. The club also supports Rotary International’s efforts in worldwide eradication of polio.
