Flag Project

Honoring Tradition. Strengthening Community. Serving with Pride.

For nearly a century, the Rotary Club of Minden has demonstrated its commitment to “Service Above Self” through visible, meaningful acts that unite neighbors and celebrate shared values. The Flag Project is one of the club’s most recognizable and trusted traditions — a simple yet powerful expression of patriotism and community pride.

Each year, Rotary members carefully place American flags in front of homes and businesses throughout Minden on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. After each holiday, the flags are respectfully retrieved, stored, and maintained for future use. This dependable service reflects the club’s longstanding dedication to stewardship, responsibility, and excellence — values that have defined Minden Rotary since 1926.

For an annual subscription of $25, residents and businesses participate in a program that does far more than decorate streets with red, white, and blue. Subscription funds directly support Rotary’s local and global service initiatives — from youth leadership programs and scholarships to community improvement efforts and international humanitarian projects. Every flag placed represents both patriotic pride and a tangible investment in the future of Minden.
