Rotary is a fellowship of passionate leaders and dedicated doers, united by a shared commitment to making a difference. Through Rotary, members have the opportunity to impact both their local communities and the world in ways that go beyond the reach of any individual.
The Rotary Club of Minden thrives on a strong sense of camaraderie, making service both meaningful and enjoyable. Our members come together for hands-on projects like providing dictionaries to 3rd grade students, our annual commitment to sending at least two high school students to Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp, volunteering for area community projects and providing scholarships to local 4-H participants and high school students.
In recent years our global humanitarian efforts have extended to the African continent where we provided hand planters to local farmers. With support from Rotary International we co-sponsored a much needed ophthalmology clinic in Argentina. To promote sharing of global perspectives our club sponsors incoming and outgoing foreign exchange students. And every year we add our support to Rotary International’s effort to completely eradicate polio from the planet as well as contributing to Rotary Foundation initiatives that improve lives around the globe.
